Last year I started an actual bookclub, ever since joining bookstagram people had asked me if they could join 'The Breakfast Book Club' but it was just a name and never an actual club. This inspired me to create a book club where we could discuss books, chat about our favourites and have a shared read each month!
Over the past 12-ish months it's been great, we've had a core group of people who turn up each month and others who come and go as they please (we meet via zoom!) we actually have just under 1000 members in the Facebook group! But from this month onward the book club is having a little bit of a glow-up shall we say!
The benefits will be:
- Monthly zoom call to discuss our reads.
- Voting powers for our monthly book
- Giveaways
- A season Lightroom preset each quarter
- Monthly bookstagram planner with key dates (digital download)
- Access to e-ARCs (this will depend on our book picks and will not be every month)
- Exclusive author chats (again, not every month is guaranteed)
Plus more as the book club grows!
So without further ado, our book pick for March is Conversations on Love* by Natasha Lunn.
If you would like to sign up please click this link and fill in your details!
Conversations of Love synopsis:
After years of feeling that love was always out of reach, journalist Natasha Lunn set out to understand how relationships work and evolve over a lifetime. She turned to authors and experts to learn about their experiences, as well as drawing on her own, asking: How do we find love? How do we sustain it? And how do we survive when we lose it?
In Conversations on Love she began to find the answers:
Philippa Perry on falling in love slowly
Dolly Alderton on vulnerability
Stephen Grosz on accepting change
Candice Carty-Williams on friendship
Lisa Taddeo on the loneliness of loss
Diana Evans on parenthood
Emily Nagoski on the science of sex
Alain de Botton on the psychology of being alone
Esther Perel on unrealistic expectations
Roxane Gay on redefining romance
and many more...
